If you've never heard of the Decibel event in Beeksebergen (Neitherlands) then you've definately missed something. This is one of the biggest events in the world. Especially when it comes to Electronic music overall.
Especially when it comes to Hardstyle/Hardcore/Gabber/Trance.

To start off, yes it was a loooong way to get there. And it was a bussride alright. At first, 20 hours does sound like "Oh jeez.. That's just insanity"
But to be honest, it was the best journey of my entire life really. The 20 hour drive only added 20 hours more partying. Got to meet a lot of fun people, and also bought a lot of booze on the way down (yes, they stop by bordershops and tax-free shops on the way. If you didn't know this, it's expensive to buy alcohol in Sweden, due to taxes and such)

At Decibel, you got 12 hours of pure fun. With several stages to choose from.
I can't even begin to say how fun it was, how amazing the dutch people are at partying, enjoying life and how open-minded they are.

I actually filmed one bit, and sadly I don't have many pictures due to many reasons. Anywho, this is when I filmed the last act at the Euphoria stage (by the famous duo of Noisecontrollers):

(I can't figure out how to embed video, but I hope you click it anyway)
Kinda funny how the famous Mc Villain (atleast in the Hardstyle scene) dropped his entire pep talk-act once that girl jumped up on the stage.

After that, I went straight for the Mainstage to see the "Eind Show"
To those of you who have never seen these events, they put up a very spectacular show at the end. We aren't talking a normal performance, they usually add the lights, the fireworks and it's all just amazing. I don't think any event in the world matches up to the ones from the Dutch people really. Check this one out..

All I can really say is, this event was amazing. Probably one of the top 10 things I've done in my entire life. I'm already planning my second trip this November, that is if I can make it in time to buy tickets to Qlimax.

This is also the explanation to why I've been away from NG aswell as other communities
Not only Decibel, but the weekend before that I saw Zatox in Stockholm at Raw Summer Beats. Not a huge event/festival, just a danceoff night at a club. It was awsome too.

I'll have to see how I'll do with animations and project for a while. At the moment, I might lay it all on rest for a while.

Tell me what events you guys go to or have been to

I return from my trip to Decibel Outdoor Festival 2011

Hey guys, a lot of stuff has been going on.. Okay not as much as I myself would have expected from myself by now.

Recently, I just went to the Air Festival in my hometown, was really nice. Not my primary choice in the genre of electronic music. But it was really nice.
Check this trailer out they made for the event itself
Kinda huge for our small town.

I've also joined a great forum for new flash artists, known as The Rookie Regime. I'd say it's a forum for the up&comming artists of Newgrounds but only time will tell..

Alright.. So I wish I had done a lot more when it comes to Flash.
Because things have been moving on really slow. I guess after the stress in creating Commercialception I needed a break or something? Either way, I'm going to dedicate more time to my next project. I wish I had gotten a lot further by now, but that is not the case.
Sorry :(

Before I say anything about my next project, I wanted to write about it once it had some more meat on it's bone. Preferably have something more to show for it rather than this empty screenshot.. But meh, here goes:

StarCraft 2: The Parody (name still being thought of)
I BET NOBODY HAS EVER DONE A GAME PARODY HERE ON NEWGROUNDS AMIRIGHT?
No but, seriously though. I'm gonna make a parody of this beautiful game. Looking forward to showing it to you guys. I've also stepped it up in style a bit (atleast according to myself) and I'm also experimenting with the lovely art of Frame By Framing my movie.
It will be animated by yours truly, aswell as voice acted by the lovely voices of Kpheeyat (from my previouse animation) and Tomsthevoice here at NG! Gonna be a lot of fun, if I can just pull the finger out of my own... and get to WORK!

(Also, providing this lovely little screenshot of one of the finished scenes.)

This is what's been going on.. Also, I want friends.. :(

I just released my first flash in many years. Hopin all goes well for it, put some seriouse time and devotion to it. And also, I'd like to take time in this journal to special thank Kpheeyat for his amazing job at voice acting all lines but one.

Watch Commercialception here

You'd think I'd be interested in taking a break, but oh no good sirs. I'm interested in starting a new project right away. Back to the drawing boards, back to basics and time to rebuild.

Alright I'm not going to overdo that anymore at all. Anywho, I might get back to this journal a bit more often. Perhaps post a picture screenshot of the next project at work. We'll see how it goes.

Till then good people of Newgrounds, see you all around.

But that train keeps on rollin'

Tomorrow I'll submit my first flash in 6 years.

Now that's something you didn't expect now did ya?

Gief friends!
